Programme

One day, from planning to polishing.

The eight-hour bonding workshop includes a short theoretical part, a demonstration by the instructor and independent work on a typodont. Under the supervision of Dr. Smurzyńska, you go through the full anterior composite layering protocol.

Time 8 hours

01 — Schedule

The structure of the day.

From the first coffee to final polishing: eight hours organised around the pace of the actual clinical procedure.

09:00
(30 min)

Welcome & coffee

Participant registration and practical introduction.

09:30
(90 min)

Materials, layers, application technique

We discuss the types of materials, the selection of layers, the sequence of work and the method of applying the composite.

11:00
(15 min)

Coffee break

A short break for coffee and conversation.

11:15
(90 min)

Live procedure demonstration

The instructor performs the full protocol on a demonstration model - from planning to polishing. Live commentary, streaming on a large screen.

12:45
(45 min)

Lunch

Shared meal on site - prepared for participants.

13:30
(180 min)

Your own workstation

Participants work at their own workstations with a typodont. Full layering protocol under the direct supervision of the instructor. Individual correction of every stage.

16:30
(15 min)

Polishing & final effect

Final adjustments and the complete polishing protocol, taking the restoration through to its finished surface.

16:45
(15 min)

Q&A · wrap-up

Questions, certificates and a photographic record of the participants' work.

02 - Protocol

From planning to the final result.

Seven steps practised in sequence, each with a defined clinical objective.

01
Case selection

Patient selection

You assess the clinical and aesthetic conditions as well as the indications for composite modelling in the anterior segment. The treatment plan must correspond to the actual conditions in the oral cavity.

Objective Correct case selection before treatment begins.
02
Setup

Preparation of materials and tools

Materials selected for the case, instruments prepared at the workstation and a demonstration of the recommended handling techniques.

Objective A prepared workstation before modelling begins.
03
Preparation

Preparation & etching

Preparing the teeth and etching the enamel without tooth preparation. The approach remains additive and preserves tooth tissue.

Objective Enamel ready for adhesion, without tissue loss.
04
Adhesion

Adhesive system

Adhesive application, active scrubbing, gentle air drying and polymerisation according to the protocol for each layer.

Objective Stable hybrid layer.
05
Modelling

Composite layers

You then perform application, modelling, polymerisation and basic characterisation. At every stage you control the anatomy of the reconstruction.

Objective Modelling consistent with natural tooth anatomy.
06
Characterisation

Characterisation & optical effects

You add optional characterisation and controlled translucency, learning how to distribute the material and integrate it with the final layer.

Objective Reproduction of natural optical characteristics.
07
Polishing

Polishing to a high gloss.

You go through subsequent stages: contouring with burs, refining the texture with polishing rubbers and obtaining shine using discs and paste. We discuss the correct speed and cooling protocol. This stage determines the texture, gloss and natural light reflection.

Objective Depth comparable to natural enamel, without a monochromatic reflection.
03 - The next step
